    WSUSBC

Went to state this past weekend with new balls.

Figured out quickly my weak league ball layouts were not needed at the team event house, and went right to the no mercy for the obvious monster tophat as the awesome hook was too much cover and the storm balls were over under.

This ball read the lane perfectly with this layout, as I could play firm and straight getting good early revs without over under and no quit through the pins. 257,267,279 -803

When we arrived at the Doubles and singles house watching the early squad I could tell the lanes were even tighter.

Not getting the no mercy aroud the corner, I moved right and went to the storm balls looking for left instead of right.

The first pair we bowled on was an arrow different as they started the machine on this pair and I am guessing it took a bit to wick up.

I used the shift on the left lane as the weaker cover was cleaner through the front and the stronger layout helped the ball rev up.

The right lane was the agent, with more cover and a weker layout to help me square up without too much squirt 210 290 247-747

The next pair was even tighter then the right lane on the first pair. I started with the agent, but got in a little trouble as the ball started too hook a bit soon (this ball is very strong and continuous) and a parallel left was not an option for the 6 inch pin. Back to the shift for games 2 and 3. 190 225 290-705 Decent all events score, but felt like i left a little on the table adjusting to the different pairs.

Scores should be high for the remainder of the tournament, and as usual on the big house china straighter is greater.

    Pasco Regional, New Equipment

    Hello all.

After bowling my first regional in nearly a year, I found bowling on the

new tour patterns that matching up to be very important.

I was unprepared for the Viper ran on the Kustodian roller pattern.

The roller pattern as opposed to the brush is almost entirely a forward loaded pattern.

Thus more oil toward to end of the pattern creating minimal lengthwise taper.

These patterns require stronger layouts, which were not in my arsenal.

Going around the pattern was not an option, and squaring up meant needing something that would rev up without jumping off the pattern.

I have drilled 6 new balls for the tour patterns with help from Squeeks.

Awesome hook, 4 1/2 inch pin mass bias 3 3/8 from pap, x hole 1 11/16 below pap on vertical axis line with large bit shallow hole, 800 wet dry.

Black widow, same layout 4000 abralon

No mercy, same pin with heart and x hole 6 1/2 at 45 degrees

Agent, 6 inch pin under middle with mb at 45 again with smaller hole, 1000 wet dry

Shift 5 1/2 inch pin 1 inch off val with stack label no hole 1500 wet dry .

Fury same as agent 600 wet dry.

I have not had too much time with these balls yet, but will report after going to state this weekend.
